Somehow I missed that Tikkun.org closed at the end of 2024.

That is incredibly sad, and their archives seem to have followed into bit rot this year when the domain and the hosting lapsed. (Still visible via archive.org but their indexing is now gone.)

They will be greatly missed.

I think a lot of people here are way underestimating how difficult it is to break a sexual abuse story *even when everybody kind of knows it* unless you can get victims on record. it is very, very hard.

Sexual relationships with women in their 20s who want to get involved in politics, when you're in Congress and almost twice their age, is, even in the BEST of bad circumstances, INCREDIBLY problematic. The power dynamics! Even his apology, if accepted, is sufficient for him to need to withdraw.

This is not a good photo. The colour is a little off and I will take better pictures tomorrow when I have natural light, but I think they came together OK. Thereā€™s a few things I will have to refine with practice, but considering some of these species are my first attempts, Iā€™m pretty pleased.

Grandparents who file guardianship petitions to forcibly remove their grandchildren from their own child should never, ever, ever, ever be believed. I have been doing this work for decades and not once have I seen a case where the grandparents arenā€™t the problem in this scenario.
