Hudders fan. I work in a pub and a care home in Holmfirth and Mirfield West Yorkshire.

So the Iraqi Kurds were supported by the US, got murdered by isis and abandoned by the US. The Syrian Kurds were supported by the US, then murdered by Assad and abandoned by the US. Also some Syrian Kurds were murdered by Turkey and abandoned by the US.

Hey, Iranian Kurds.

They like Trump and want him to win. This does not apply to JD Vance.

Very annoying that Cillian Murphy's first entry into the 28 days later series in twenty five years is him being wrong about the Versailles treaty.

Here's a quick hit on why Trump's obsession with Venezuela's oil is a bit heavy and crude in a world where the US is a net exporter and the concerns are a lot more about peak demand than peak supply. responsiblestatecraft.org/trump-venezuela-oil/

Still laughing at this. Cannot imagine a more self-discrediting argument for socialism than “under socialism, you should be able to gesture to your crotch, tell a customer to suck it and keep your job”.

An excellent essay by Duncan Weldon.

He explains why, in 1914-1918, the civilian-led, democratic states of Britain and France adapted more effectively to the conditions of total war than autocratic regimes in Russia and Germany, where the military came to predominate.

Doctor: Treatment is simple, go see Orville the clown. He's very funny and should make you feel better.

Pagliacci: ...What about Pagliacci.

Doctor: Pagliacci? I could not name a shittier clown.

Pagliacci: ...

Doctor: Just a total failure of a clown.

We appreciate your participation in LIBERALISM, an experiment in positive-sum economics by the University of Edinburgh. The experiment is now concluded. Please return to inter-state anarchy and subsistence agriculture, and report any further efforts to better the human condition. Thank you!

Starting the European Union War Party. Federalise the currency and the armies, allow millions of refugees, hyperspeedify the accession of at least twelve new member states and use the resulting positive economic output for blatant warmongering at the expense of "Russia" and "America"

I disagree, because America is unique in the way it deals with its failures.

It fixes themself, e.g. Union troops freed the enslaved people and Americans will vote out the oligarchs.

“You can always count on Americans to do the right thing — after they've tried everything else,”

Winston Churchill

My broader feeling is, if you are making a prediction about the next UK election, you are saying you can predict:

1) the consequences of Trump's second term
2) how exactly the CCP will respond to 1)
3) whether there will be any geopolitical shocks and what their electoral outcome will be
