After just finishing my mom’s old papers and photos from 1947 I relate to this.

I have my Grandfather's letters to his girlfriend, Thelma, from their first date, through his being drafted as a Conscientious Objector in WWI, and to their marriage in 1920. And her replies. He was in St Nazairre from Oct 11 to Spring 1919. He taught English to a girl who gave him 2 hand painted

...postcards. Several pictures of St Nazaire and his best friend. He brought back 7 coins, including a 1727 Spanish Reale coin apparently in circulation. I'd love to find a home for these papers from 1912-20.
