Yes, this action could be the first to directly test the Supreme Court’s decision. In other cases, we argue it doesn’t give rise to a mandatory exclusion rule. However, her case concerns inclusion. And it is clear the statutory language is incompatible with Convention rights and civil liberties.

I’m somewhat bemused to hear a Jewish man telling the BBC (during an interview about Wireless Festival being headlined by a nazi) that if “an artist made appalling statements about… LGBTQ people” they wouldn’t be defended or given a platform.

Section 28 did immense harm to a generation of LGBTQ+ people. It allowed homophobia to flourish and left us to grow up with shame, scared and alone. It’s a big part of the reason why I didn’t transition until I was 38.

Every time I see someone suggest people should just "coexist" & "Have their opinions" I want to punch them because

WE DID THAT

Queer people did leave conservatives alone, we did try to live by the mantra of live & let live.

It gave us genocide because facists do not want to coexist but eradicate

The colour of the UK on this map should be a national embarrassment, and the politicians that enabled this should be held accountable.

Trans rights are far from a guarantee here, and we need to stop politicians chipping away at our rights.
