So I see a lot of reposts saying "I never had male privilege" so let me address that because I both agree and disagree with you.

I never had it in the sense that I was never able to "perform male" worth a damn, so I never got that benefit. B/C no I wasn't accepted by the boys but

(2/2) I DID have that privilege in my daily interactions. Treated as male (painful as that was) day to day had advantages. Job opportunities, pay, safety etc. Or just being taken seriously. I work in tech and never had my knowledge questioned until I transitioned.

So yeah I see it both ways.

as a trans dude i can tell you, anyone who says they never had male privilege if full of fucking shit, you just don't notice the ocean when you've been living in your whole life 🤘

I gained an incredible amount of respect for both cis & trans women when one of my meds put me through "accidental HRT"... I was blown away at how ill-prepared I was for powerful emotions & feelings, & how cis women just... DEAL, & how trans women view that as an improvement over their prior state.
