I could keep gushing but all in all it makes me excited to check out more of Béla Tarr's work. It feels like he hits this really nice balance of desolation and tenderness.

Last, I always really appreciate when media is confident in its vision & execution, then refuses to tell you its answers. Aside from being fun it makes messages way more personal.

I have a strong feeling what will happen in the characters' futures and I appreciate the restraint of leaving it there.

I liked the flat storybook diorama compositions and use of extreme foreground as page turns.
The use of wind and rain to represent destructive will and oppressive inertia was great. In general I loved the relationship between freedom and order toyed with in every chapter.

I loved the long pacing. It let me exist in the room as if I was just another part of the conversation, sometimes even as a captive observer.
Its care to show mundanity and ugliness makes me feel like I or anyone else could easily be another character on camera.

It's lonely, ugly and entirely the pointless butt of a joke. I love how humans are constantly portrayed no different than wandering cows & horses or pigshit swarming flies soon to be eaten by spiders, yet it still feels written with love rather than just spite or ridicule.

Sátántangó watched!
It was my first long-form movie and quite a marathon, but I really enjoyed it.
Each scene felt like dropping a new ingredient into a tea cup, and when it's done I get to enjoy stirring and sipping it for a long time.

I tried out Agatha Christie's Last Seance collection, my first time reading her stories actually. It was solid, though I felt myself wanting something throughout it.
Stories I liked were The Lamp, Wireless, The Wife of Kenite, The Call of Wings, The Flock of Geryon & The Dressmaker's Doll.

Also I really enjoyed the soundtrack to the first movie, lots of moody 80's synthesizer (moog?)

I finally watched Terminator 1 & 2 for the first time and surprise, they were awesome. The genre switch from horror to action was a cool way to get everything out of both movies without becoming redundant.

But most importantly now I know the context to the fucking skeleton explosion gif.

I wish things had gone differently, but I'm proud of what we made and glad to continue being friends with the bunch of cool, skilled and kind people I met through it.
If you're in need of a 3D environment artist, a programmer or QA testers, look in this thread!

(Watching the Umineko EP5 stageplay)
I love that in theater you can just Do This, for a scene of a person getting blackmailed. They even form the shape of an eye

Does anyone else remember the windows 98 version of Midnight Play by Kveta Pacovska? There's only three videos of it I can find, but if not for that I'd almost assume I hallucinated having this game as a kid. Either way fun and unnerving art.

I still love this scene Nathalie made for the prototype, this was an old church turned into a bar and shelter for people resisting assimilation into heaven’s endless highways.

This is where Garter and THRONE would talk to their neighbors and you would pick a mission like Tron Bonne or Armored Core

I don't think this was shown in the video, but since I ran across it in my files here's a temp menu background I made for ENGINE ANGEL back in October.

I still think Umineko's best set up and payoff is reading 7 hours of rich people arguing about inheritance and the bubble economy while only soft elegant strings & piano play, and then on the 8th hour you hear this:
