I'm imagining an emerging technology that enriches workers and is based on stolen corporate patents while also driving up the cost of private jet fuel. How quickly would that technology be regulated out of existence and its creators imprisoned?

In the US military, gender integration had essentially no effect on men's actual performance or retention, but men's perception of workplace quality changed: perceived quality rose in units with newly integrated female enlisted soldiers, but it fell when female officers held supervisory roles

It's one of those ways something can be so woke it comes all the way back around to reinforcing the very prejudice it claims to oppose. It's why I have no truck with the "oh ho, America can only be evil, checkmate lib!" nonsense, because it grants all the premises of fascists and Confederates.

Things that help calm the nervous system, quickly:

- Box breathing (in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat)
- Immerse your face in cold water (activates mammalian dive reflex)
- Humming (stimulates vagus nerve)
- Exercise (anything helps, outside even better)
- Impeachment and removal
