We bought an EV years ago and have so far saved over $7000 in avoided gas costs. And our electricity is now free because our solar panels have completely paid for themselves in saved electricity costs.
My interest in the price of fossil fuels is purely political.

Too many people believe that ANY used car will give you maintenance issues that a new car won't.
And too many people wrapped up in a new car being their identity (and right).

Meanwhile, I bought a 4 year old EV in 2020 and have done exactly TWO things to it (new tires and a new 12V battery)

This is why I loved my Hyundai Accent. It was small enough to still park right next to them. I did get my car scratched once but it was still worth it. 😊 Society is not going to survive if don’t stop being selfish! It’s a car, not anything that precious! ☮️

Fancy that. A gas station. Where no car is tanking gas - but the EV chargring units are fully occupied.

The stone age didn’t end because we ran out of stones – and the fossil‑fuel age won’t end because we run out of oil.

It will end because better, more reliable technologies take over.

The rest of the world is getting so many small, affordable EVs. Our government is making us an isolated market reliant on a dwindling 20th century extraction based technology. The rest of the world is moving on. It would be great if you reported on that.

Two weeks ago you could still buy a Leaf for $3k but now that everyone's ditching petrol & diesel, even the cheapest Leaf from a million years ago is now $7k! 😮
It's crazy becauseFacebook told me that no one buys EVs.

Relish when this is brought up. I can't think of a better success story for electric vehicles than Paris. 350k-500k vehicles enter Paris every day, a huge number, and they all require the Crit'Air 0 sticker to do it. I can't think of a bigger Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) success story than Paris!
