Kiwis are doing it but are there any bargains left? Can you still get a cheap EV?
Two weeks ago you could still buy a Leaf for $3k but now that everyone's ditching petrol & diesel, even the cheapest Leaf from a million years ago is now $7k! 😮
It's crazy becauseFacebook told me that no one buys EVs.

I'm glad we toured NZ back in January, even though the cars we hired were hybrids. Rental companies really need to sort out their act and offer a reasonable EV option.

I'm hoping my ëC4 is now worth selling for sure.

But it's weird, like we're living in a parallel universe! I keep getting these promos from PowerDot saint it's cheaper to fill up right now !! Ha ha ha ha ha ha

It's like they're rubbing salt in the wounds of ICE drivers ? Go #EVs go !

Now that would be a refutation..

Why does NZ have such cheap Leafs but the ones in Oz start from $10k...?

Warning from an EV importer friend yesterday that shipping co's are increasingly refusing to ship EVs, often at very short notice. That 'incoming' EV that you buy may be significantly delayed by such issues. Be careful out there folks.

After you got your bargain Leaf, I started looking but there are no more bargains out there! Could you do a video for us folks who don’t have deep (over $20k) pockets on what we can realistically look for?

Even if there were still cheap EVs, the cheap old ones have f all range and aren’t good for people with a commute that goes over that range ☹️

I have a very long daily commute. I could probs make it on a single charge but always do a quick partial recharge before I head home in case of diversions etc.

I use that "down" time to update my work notes, so a quick grocery shop or just chill for a few minutes...
