Even if there were still cheap EVs, the cheap old ones have f all range and aren’t good for people with a commute that goes over that range ☹️

I mean its pretty easy to figure out if it will work for you

Most peoples commute is well within an old leafs range

There was, a month ago, exactly one leaf that I might have stretched to buy that was juuuust in my commute range. All the others with more range were too expensive.

NZ needed to have the last few years of lots of EVs coming in to make the second hand market better but too late now.

I have a very long daily commute. I could probs make it on a single charge but always do a quick partial recharge before I head home in case of diversions etc.

I use that "down" time to update my work notes, so a quick grocery shop or just chill for a few minutes...

People need to change their thinking around EVs; it's not just if one charge will do it for you or not: it's whether you might need to make a few other changes to accommodate the benefits of an EV...
