I don't know if you've ever sat waiting for emergency services but I have. Once for ambulance, once for fire. Every minute feels like an hour. The fact that those services won't arrive in time (or at all) for some people because of some goons in tractors is beyond disgraceful.

If you're currently there and a woman, if you want to make HR freakout, ask to see the data about what grade level women are hired at (about 1-3 grade levels lower than men even with comparable job duties).

Electric vans already make up 5% of new light commercial vehicle sales this year, double last year's share.

It should be our aim to make this our last fossil fuel crisis.

Probably a good time for a reminder than human rights are not won through compromising with bigots, or convincing them they are wrong, they are won by defeating them. Have a look around: all the same prominent, public people who were against marriage equality are still against it. They just lost.

One of the things that is so positive about the transformation of Paris is it was FAST. Converting a choked polluted city into a space for humans to thrive, move, and enjoy can be done within a decade. It’s within reach today: we just have to elect leaders that care about people more than cars.

The rise in fuel bills is too high. But so is the rise in rents.
TDs asking for a cap on the former are the very ones who just voted to remove restrictions on the latter.
Renters abandoned to the mercy of the market. Businessmen apparently need protection from it.
