I only heard him for the first time today, on Liveline. He exuded 'big man' energy. It was all too obvious that the attention and power of the last few days had gone to his head very quickly.
Shit happens on farms. My father often quotes my grandfather as saying "if you have livestock, you'll have dead stock". Responsible farmers care about their animals. If an animal is sick or injured & there's nothing more to be done for them, you get the vet to humanely put them down.
That's horrendous. How tf can you be a farmer and treat your livestock so badly?? Every farmer I've ever known wants their herds to be well, they care for the animals because - even if you set emotions aside - that's the best business model. Stressed cows make bad beef.
