Proud to have been listed as one of Trans in the City's inaugural trans changemakers. It's been a challenging year for us all, but have relished the opportunity to be on the front lines trying to fight for trans human rights.

men can’t understand what it’s like for women to see story after story after story of women being victims of sexual violence in a culture where it’s routine; what it’s like to live in a world that is fundamentally hostile to our existence. it’s a wonder we leave the fucking house, let alone thrive.

If I were rich I would almost certainly spend my money on lots of gorgeous hardbacks to fill shelves and shelves of books with.

For example, I regularly fantasise about these editions of the Wolf Hall trilogy from the Folio Society (but not something I can justify in reality!)

I am clearly an outlier. I almost exclusively buy nice hardbacks, else I tend to just read the ebook these days.

The Darts Regulation Authority, very neutrally and reasonably, asked someone from Sex Matters whether they should ban trans women from women's darts.

I'll give you three guesses what the answer was.

Together with fellow UN experts, I called on the United Kingdom to ensure that its review of statutory guidance under the Equality Act fully complies with international human rights law and guarantees equal protection for transgender people and all women and girls.

As someone who was raised Catholic I find American Catholics, especially the "trad caths" and similar movements, endlessly fascinating.

While killing dozens of people in Lebanon (MOPH says 112, civil defense counts 250+, until now), Israel still found time to kill another one of our colleagues in Gaza.

Call out GC women for their awful behaviour. Not how they look. I don't care how evil they are. By weaponising misogyny you merely strengthen patriarchal violence against us all.

"Oh this Gender Crit has clearly had gender affirming surgery. Look at her nose job. Why can't trans people"

Stop. Misogyny.

Same goes for saying GCs look clocky btw. Cut that shit out.

This stuff is misogyny by the way. Even if you're targeting objectively bad people with it. Just don't.

Absolutely the nerdiest human rights lawyer thing ever that this is so cool to me, but it really was!

One thing I am really proud of recently is that Amnesty International used my writing for their Trans Day of Visibility post. Since I was a teenager I have followed Amnesty's human rights work and it's super amazing to me that they wanted to base their TDoV post off my work.

And yet it's considered almost gauche to like and enjoy the comfort I am now lucky enough to have. Whereas I value it immensely because for most of my life it simply wasn't an option afforded to me. I just believe that this kind of basic comfort should be afforded to everyone.

I consider myself relatively well off now. Am in steady employment. My cupboards are full. If I fancy an occasional coffee I can usually afford to buy one. I like that I can buy new underwear when mine get holes in. There is nothing I want less than to live the way I did when I was in poverty.

A thing I've noticed among middle class people which is a pretty good indicator of whether someone actually grew up poor. People who grew up poor find immense relief in the lack of struggle and the comfort of having food and some nicer things. Whereas those born middle class like to cosplay poverty.

The UK must immediately and unequivocally suspend support for the US military.

The Government have tried to appease him, then they tried to say they're standing up to him.

Words aren't enough - it's time for action.

It's essential that any Code of Practice explains to organisations like Girlguiding that they are fully legally entitled to remain trans-inclusive, and that the Government steps in to ensure that they will not be bullied and harassed into adopting positions contrary to their values.
