Yeah, the fact that Trump and Iran offered very different visions of what was agreed makes me wonder what the actual content of the agreement was.

But I doubt Pakistan will clarify, because I imagine 'we both get to lie about what we agreed' is part of the agreement.

Piecing together the nine different versions I've heard, it sounds like the US agreed to accept the 10-point Iranian peace plan "as a basis for negotiation", and Iran agreed to "reopen" the Strait for two weeks.

The former is worthless, the value of the latter depends on the Iranian definition.

The was also an incident during the Biden administration where a mediator nation (Egypt I think) changed a ceasefire proposal while transmitting it in an attempt to get both sides to agree to some sort of ceasefire.
