Yes, and here’s a great explanation why impeachment (impossible as it may be) is still better than the 25th amendment, courtesy of Shay Stewart-Bouley, @blackgirlinmaine.bsky.social

Excellent by @blackgirlinmaine.bsky.social unpacking why many Black and Brown folks are pushing back on No Kings, and real talk about what is needed: risk-taking, inconvenient action, and sustained disruption. 1/2 blackgirlinmaine.com/activism/critique-and-activism-people-getting-prickly-about-no-kings/

Old people should be able to retire! No one liked seeing the grandpa who had to deliver doordash. The same goes for politicians. We should not even want these people to be working unless they have to, we should want them resting being cared for, except Trump who can rest in a dumpster.

There was ONE ATC in the tower at LGA during last night's crash.

ONE ATC, at LGA!, dealing w ALL air and ground traffic, including a plane filling w a strange smell and no gate to return to.

The Pentagon wants $200B for a vanity war, but our ATC towers are empty.

Budgets are moral documents.

Michael B. Jordan just won his first-ever Oscar for best actor, and thanked director Ryan Coogler for honoring "original ideas" in Hollywood.

As a career non-profit person who has spent the last 17 years as an executive director. I can assure you that board membership doesn't mean someone is vested in a cause. Depending on the cause, it's excellent for the resume and networking.

If you want to question my integrity and you are replying to me. I'm blocking you. I'm not here to argue with any of you.

I know that's how many of you get down, but I'm not that person.

You gotta know when to leave the party. When it's time to go home. Sir, you're 85, relax, unwind, and remember, you have more days behind you than ahead of you. I'm 53, and even I recognize that.

I think this is the best summary and most powerful observation.

“You can’t end indifference without accountability”

I understand that SURJ National just endorsed Graham Platner. I'm familiar with SURJ quite well, I started the Boston chapter back in 2016 and still work with organizers from Boston and Maine chapters.

Lot of thoughts on this, but until I unpack it with some colleagues, I'll mostly be quiet.

I stand corrected. She is not a new entry in the Maine Senate race. ☺️

This is the Senate candidate in Maine that I just mentioned, who I'm looking forward to meeting with soon.

If I'm campaigning for Platner, it's news to me. I just happen to have a platform where, for close to two decades now, I've written about Maine politics and race. A platform that's pretty well known by anyone entering Maine races in 2026. As for grift? WTF are you even talking about?

I'm interested in all the races in Maine. I recently started a local show, From Away to ME, with my co-host, Moon Machar. Our first guest was Dr. Nirav Shah, who is running for governor.

For folks interested in the Maine Senate race, there's actually a newcomer to the race, Andrea LaFlamme. I'm planning on sitting down and talking with her, just like I did with Graham Platner.

I haven't endorsed anyone for any race in the state.

The idea that this platform is safer for Black women is laughable. The racist trolls here just have a better vocabulary and are too refined in their minds to actually just use the N words.

The idea that I need to prove anything to some rando on a social media app, when I have an almost 20-year track record of my work in Maine and beyond, is ludicrous.

Just because you are new to me doesn't mean I'm new to the game.

I'm just going to say this, my life in Maine isn't lived through what the media reports. I am friends or personally familiar with many political folks here. Like, we have each other's personal phone numbers. I'm not arguing with people based on what they read, when I've broke bread with folks.

This is absolutely the truth about Mills and Maine politics. That woman isn't progressive. I'll stand on that. Some of my closest friends worked with her in the legislature, and let's just say, no, she won't have my vote in the primary.

The South ending Reconstruction and plunging their populations into a backward looking culture and economy until it was forced to modernize by the Civil Rights movement is imo a very clean parallel.
