This is absolutely the truth about Mills and Maine politics. That woman isn't progressive. I'll stand on that. Some of my closest friends worked with her in the legislature, and let's just say, no, she won't have my vote in the primary.

Yesssss! Mills is such a horrible member of the Maine good old boiz network. Just look at at her shrill racism towards absolutely anything our Indigenous hosts try to attain or work on. Liberals are useless idiots for trying to prop her up. She is literally on the wrong side of history!

While the internet is obsessed with the Platner drama- this is the real shit that flies under the radar, people in/from Maine have a really different lens on Mills.

You’ve certainly given me a lot to think about, and I’m glad to hear your perspective.
Actually I do have a question for you, as someone that actually lives in Maine. How responsible and public serving is ā€œHarbormasterā€?
From my California experience, that job is a big deal even for little ports 1/2

But it can be a totally different ballgame for you. So even if I’m not voting in the primary, I would appreciate knowing how to evaluate that part of his background.
Totally fine if this isn’t something you have time to answer, but I haven’t been sure who to ask.

Shay I’m so sorry but you are a true Mainer now, the people from away just do not fucking understand Maine and it is awful you’re being treated this way.

I will vote for Mills after every other Democrat candidate has been exhausted. She is no friend of unions and she has treated the Maine Native population in such shoddy ways.

That's my plan, too. If she wins the primary, I'll vote for her.

A longtime acquaintance who's a state social worker and very much a political moderate never had anything good to say about her dealings with Mills as AG. She's definitely been a step up after LePage, but we all know how low that bar was

Mills being Collins Lite is right on. Plus, she can’t beat Collins. I’m grateful that she righted the ship after Lepage, but was disappointed that she decided to run for senate. I’m voting for Platner in the primary.
