Actually I do have a question for you, as someone that actually lives in Maine. How responsible and public serving is “Harbormaster”?
From my California experience, that job is a big deal even for little ports 1/2

But it can be a totally different ballgame for you. So even if I’m not voting in the primary, I would appreciate knowing how to evaluate that part of his background.

Harbormasters in Maine are picked by each town. Usually in an informal polling of the folks that use the harbor with a finger on the scale for traditional local uses. IE, if its been a fishing harbor or fishing / sailing harbor then those will be prioritized over large motor driven summer yachts.
