Legitimately hornier to write the most debauched, depraved background setting for a mild kink than to depict the most explicit sex ever shown on screen
Simply engaging in said fetish VS Being so infatuated with its concept that you create lore centered around it to further increase immersion because its hotter that way
The "what" that is happening is good and solid, typically does the job. But when you add the "why" and "how" that is happening, then it's something to latch onto and remember.
writing 101 - you establish the setting and what rules you have to apply to the characters :D
(it's also a really fun exercise imo as you get to craft a universe where your favourite theme gets to work but then have limitations which makes conflict and stakes more interesting to write and read)
oh no my use of the word contrived is entirely positive. contrived and ridiculous is exactly how i like it. i like it when the worldbuilding and exposition is so clearly centered on propelling the author's fetish it genuinely brings me joy
Magic is prevalent in the world, being used to power devices or fight. But channeling magic through your body is very taxing, costing you control of certain bodily functions. Thus magic users wear robes to conceal the diapers they wear beneath, often bonding with a familiar to aid them in changing.
Well, yeah, if you don't have the scene established, you don't have the real impact of the moment the picture shows. A picture is *worth* adding those thousand words.
A friend sent me this as I was working on the seventh page of the document about locations in my fictional city on one screen and the map of said city on the other screen and I feel like a quarterback who's just been sacked
huge mood X3 why have just fet stuff on its own when you can have a huge wall of lore reasoning why its actually totally normal/average in that world and all the otherwise embarrassing things that come forth because of it X3
Immediately thought of this image I saved from Tumblr a while back when I saw this lmao. It really do be like that though. That build-up can make all the difference.
I always find it's a weird tightrope to walk. When it comes to at least porn-fetish content for me. Too much story and it gets boring, Too little story, and it feels flat.
this is blowing up insane style so uh. hi thats my fursona lobo who uses it/they and i draw ocs shitting their pants primarily. with many included contrived fantasy scenarios 👍
when me tfing isnt enough, so i gotta add a random cursed otherwise mundane object (or a strange creature that can passively spread their traits to other people around them) as the cause
Reminds me of a story about The Dresden Files. If i recall, another author challenged Jim Butcher to include a plot-relevant bondage sex scene in one of his books.
And he did. And hooooo buddy that scene proved to be important.
Listen, it's not 𝘮𝘺 fault that giving a bunch of weird little critters the ability to resurrect themselves 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 leads to vore scenarios involving some of larger inhabitants of the world (I love kink-based worldbuilding)
I built up an entire science fiction setting in no small part because I could not properly reconcile my love of snuff and gore with my love of the character I made for that purpose.
Someday I'll finish a story in a world where not only is reincarnation real, but memories and personality persist across it such that one's sense of self has continuity across death, and thus there are some people who treat it as a recreational experience to indulge in.
Ok, but it's true. The fetish is fun, but crafting a believable universe where the fetish can happen is SO much better. That's why I've done a lot of concepts for creatures and plants of all kinds.
it's the difference between "drug that causes permanent incontinence" and "depressive post-grad so burnt out from j*bsearching they're willing to take whatever money they can, including trying experimental drugs with unknown side effects"
This is good. But what if one has what amounts to a large Circuit Breaker's worth of kinks set to different states of On and Off that needs to be navigated carefully in order to set up the best world for the perfect fetish scenes in line with the author's likes without spiraling downwards?
"okay but what actually is an incubus in a metaphysical sense in this hypothetical demon kidnapping scenario and are there people looking for me?" <- actual questions I've had to ask myself
No I get it, like "Obviously I don't want a HELL hell in my setting, because fuck that, but is a demon just a kind of person? Are they from a specific place? Are they from some other plane of existence, but that plane is mostly normal once you're actually there, bar the aesthetics?"
I want my fetish porn to have WORLDBUILDING and PLOT and AN ACTUAL GOOD STORY I CAN BOTH JORKULATE MY PENAR TO AND ANALYZE AND APRECIATE AT THE SAME TIME
I have just spent four months on Worldbuilding in order to justify latex clad meat puppet Noh Theater where the audience also wears latex gimp suits, and the artform is considered boring and hoity toity by the viewpoint characters, and I'm very proud of the contrivences to get it this way~
We like a good bit of story in our scenes!📖 To just jump straight into the action can often make it less memorable than it could be. It's fun to build up to the main attraction. Discoveries can even be made before the "good stuff."😊
i invented an entire civilisation so i could have a hivemind of queer space monster fucking & breeding/ovipositing and tentacles, amongst other things. I just haven't been able to overcome enough shame to actually share it XD
