btw I came to the conclusion that it's actually hotter if it's not a literal demon and is actually a poorly understood psychic phenomenon in which the normally silent subconscious can be gifted a form and the means to take care of the rest of the mind. Like theraputic debatably-consentual selfcest

Should be noted that the only hints that this is the case are that there's a strange sense of familiarity with the incubus/succubus and that magics that'd normally dispell or protect against demons do nothing
