The pictures from Artemis are apparently coming from the same camera I use for my race car - a GoPro Hero 4. I've been meaning to replace it for a while - it's over a decade old. But you know what... why? It works fine! Fun that it's also space-rated.

Yeah, they're mounted on the end(?) of the solar panels looking inwards.

I was noticing the other day that the encoders seem to underflow on dark pixel and corrupt the UV components of the macroblocks.

Perhaps the artifacts are caused by poor AGC response quick changes in light/dark image causing ADC overload.

Yeah I wonder if that's the CCD coping with some pretty hard light conditions, or the codec having to push everything through a tiny straw.
