Recapped and added fuse (which it did not have?), used the 6.3v that fed the preamp for a light but thinking of using it for the 6CA4 rectifier, lighten the load on other 6.3 line. Now to find a nice case or something to put it in.

Been awhile but here newest thing.
Magnavox 6v6 push pull from a 1962(?) console. Recapped with some orange drops, added on/off switch and new grounded power cord. Sounds great

Bought a lot of ST-12 style tubes for few dollars, found two 6Z4’s that work in an amp I got so it’s a good deal.

Here’s a dangerous little bastard. I got this in 2007 when I started playing with tube stuff, almost free. Was happy until I read why they’re called Widowmakers. I hooked it up gently to test it then put it back in its original plastic bag and box. Mint condition.

Replaced the .05uf cap with a .22uf.
Hooked up a Bose 2.2 IV series speaker. It’s sounds much better.

Got a pair of Sylvania 6K6GT black plate chrome domes for 6$.

It somewhat works, not impressed at all with it, this is full volume so something’s wrong.

I got everything together to make one channel of that 6EM7 amp. Only transformer I got unused is 385VDC, so filaments will have separate 6.3, and I’ll use the Variac to make 250VDC. If not tomorrow then this weekend I’ll solder it up and see what happens, note the 78yo cap 😂

Pair of matching number Philco 6GL7 tubes. They’re like a pre and power tube in one. I’m thinking of doing something with these next.

Cheap little Bluetooth tube preamp, tried 6k4 tubes but the 12vdc power just isn’t enough. Changed to 5654’s, better.
Running into a 6T9 2.5w amp and Bose 2.2’s I bought in 1992.

I got this little McMartin LT80A because I wanted to build a 12ax7 preamp with remote input select and volume/power control. But it seems all there, if it powers up and works I might have to rethink this.
