Hi, I'm Tapani 👋 I collected 100 litres of Ugandan insects and still haven't got them sorted. Lots of new wasp species on the way, some day.

I gotta ask.. how are the insects preserved, and how funky do they smell when you sort 'em?

80% ethanol, and yes, there is shall we say.. a rather noticeable rancid-insect-fats-in-old-ethanol aroma when sorting 😀

I also dabble with other stuff, like trying to develop an insect camera.

Trying, because this is *still* unpublished, I'm a bit stuck ATM.

I often post on my wasps and Uganda, but also on more important topics like the correct way to drink tea. (Milk yes ✅, Lipton no ❌).

I have tried to educate the natives here in Finland on this, but alas, they think* I'm joking.
