Our oil export terminals are already at 100% capacity even before the war started. Those tankers are going to wait for a very long time to fill up.

I don't think his website has support for embedding tweets. Hence the screenshot and the funky bold old-person font.

Would be a lot cooler if it did.

Why are gas prices so high if we have soooooooooo much oil!!! Shouldnโ€™t we save it for ourselves in case the Strait is closed indefinitely because of trumps senseless war?!! I see a gas shortage in our future if we export too much.

It looks like you can actually sue for this, and if you have the chance to use Trump you should probably take it.
This would be an insane thing to do with most post thefts, but given Trump's position and actions it might actually make sense to do in this case.

You did actually lose out on a bunch of advertisement for your business when he removed your name, these are real financial losses that you can probably sue for with a large multiplier.

USA is using twice more oil per $ of GDP than Europe, and is therefore more hurt by the price surge than oil efficient economies.
0

Oil reserves of the ground are also decreasing in all the word, especially in USA giving the extraction rate there. This precious liquid is sold abroad, and US president is happy about that.

This export is going to raise domestic prices

Is that his plan? To finally make the USA a major oil producer by shutting out the Middle East or just plain steal their oil. Like he did with Venezuela?
Cue the Barbara Walterโ€™s interview.

For those of us who do not understand what this meansโ€ฆ what does this mean? The part about the tankers coming over empty, not the man coming up empty.
4

4
It means markets are global, same as last week
0
0
8
There are normally about 20 tankers heading to the US for this. Nearly 100 is a lot. This will take the US supply and put it towards demand in Asia and elsewhere. This means if US consumers want gas, they will be competing with people in true shortages. Reduce shortage there by creating in the us.

We export oil all the time. Empty tankers are business as usual. Not sure why this is a big deal. The only effect of exporting more is higher prices here.
0
0
2
There's only so much oil available in the United States. If we export more, there will be less available for domestic markets. A small change in supply can result in a big change in price.

Can't wait to see the profits from this surge in exports trickle down to all the taxpayers who paid to make the situation happen.

This is the reason that in last 10 days or so the price of US oil has exceeded price of Brent. I note that RU due to UKR successfully bombing oil production has needed to order restrictions on exporting in order to supply RU needs while dt has refused to limit exports to reduce $$ for US consumer

Yes, oil is a global commodity, so if someone wants to pay more to secure it from the US, then domestic consumers will need to pay more to outbid them.

This means gas prices will go up further if it keeps up.
