Huge, impactful, disastrous move by Trump being almost totally ignored or misreported by major news organizations: www.hatchmag.com/articles/trump-administration-orders-dismantling-us-forest-service/7716263

There is so much wrong and this is one more thing not getting enough attention. Even if a judge blocks this decision, it’s a reminder that there is nothing they won’t do for fossil fuels.

Many of the Trump administration actions can be undone given enough time and money. No amount of either will reverse the loss of Earth's biological heritage for all eternity.

The unprecedented breadth of the exemption for Gulf oil and gas development will also deny protections from extinction for other threatened and endangered species, such as sea turtles, whooping cranes and manatees.

The Trump cabinet members who make up the Endangered Species Committee (aka "God Squad") voted to allow oil and gas development in the Gulf even if it will result in the extinction of the ~50 remaining Rice's whales.

As someone who helped write the last amendments to the Endangered Species Act 37 years ago, it is painful to see the scant attention being paid to a Trump administration decision to exempt from the Endangered Species Act oil and gas drilling and operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Dear Sen. Gallego:

I raised $136,000 for your own Senate campaign.

I've been a fan of much of what you've done so far.

To say I'm disgusted with this endorsement is a massive understatement.

Even if you weren't a fan of Gov. Mills, you could've just kept out of the Maine race entirely.

Through support, cowardice or indifference the Republican Party has destroyed a world order that had served us well over the last 80 years.

I'd consider it an enormous step forward in NYT reporting if they simply did 2 things:
1. Stopped granting the benefit of the doubt to Trump statements. A serial liar should be presumed to be lying.
2. Stopped laundering evidence. Report what Trump actually says, instead of resorting to euphemisms.

I need you to listen to and share this story - of how Trump is preparing to abandon Ukraine in exchange for Russian money for his billionaire friends.

It could be the greatest corruption of American foreign policy in our history. Russia gets Ukraine. Trump's friends get rich.

"[T]here's a lot that's left to be desired" on Trumps dealing with immigration issue.

Ya think? Yeah, there's a lot left to be desired about hauling people out of their cars, kidnapping them, and deporting them all without due process. This is a leader of our opposition FFS.

🎁 link to the WSJ editorial that made Stephen Miller so mad.

"It would be a shame if this single act of betrayal became the excuse for deporting all Afghan refugees...

"Thousands are building new lives here in peace. Collective punishment won’t make America safer."

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

Is the Atlantic Ocean circulation close to tipping?
Hear the latest science as I presented it last month at the ATLAS25 event in Helsinki.
Let me know if anything is unclear, or if you see good reasons why your government shouldn't immediately act on this. 🌊

The press contact for FACE THE NATION is amanda.leonard@paramount.com if anyone wants to explain to them why people might care about a massive pedophile sex trafficking ring that apparently implicates the president and several other powerful men.

JFC. Does @schumer.senate.gov not get that by caving, Democrats make it *harder,* not easier, to make the ACA subsidies expiring stick politically to Trump/GOP? This effort to shame Republicans in this context risks signaling to low-info voters that Rs are standing on conviction and Dems aren't.
