So. Whisper networks. People who have been abused and/or harassed 1) believe or know reporting will just make it worse for them 2) still want to warn others

When that happens, people (esp. women) use whisper networks to let others know so they stay safe. Orgs hate this behavior. Too bad.

Remember the old 2000s fansub days, when groups would race to get subs out so that they'd be the first and get the most viewers even if it meant tons of preventable errors?

Or how some groups would pick a neglected series/genre, produce a slapdash, low-effort TL, then go "It's better than nothing"?

Felt sour after all the discourse about AI translation, and wanted to go and do something positive as a mostly retired human translator. So I've decided to resume my dropped Wild ARMs 2 retranslation. Just familiarising myself with the workflow.
