We're back in 2014 and the US is telling Ukraine to give up some territory without a fight and Ru will stop invading and all will be fine. Delusional to think Ukr would fall for it, knowing what they know abt Ru's goals and having developed defense capabilities that allow them to hold Ru off alone.

Iโ€™m no Kissingerian, and I take pride in not being one of those pathetic โ€œpseudo-realistsโ€ who dress up their cowardice in academic language. As a Frenchman, I want Ukraine to have nuclear weapons.

Maybe Ukraine needs to rethink its offer to help America counter Iranian drones?

This was always going to be the natural evolution of Trump's position anyway.

No matter if there was a war on Iran or a war on pigeons....

Time for Europe to step up - or wait until russia is begging on their knees for it to end.

Europe could expedite making Russia beg too

He's playing Trump perfectly, and offering to help with drone technology was an especially nice touch. All this while he continues to cement Ukraine's place as a valued member of the EU. Hopefully this will occur sooner rather than later.

Also, disgusting of the US to propose this as a "solution" when it so obviously did not work in 2014 and led to the 2022 invasion.

The US is looking for a solution for Putin, not Ukraine.

Sad, but it's where we are. It's up to us Europeans to not abandon Ukraine.

Timothy Snyder recently reminded us that trump is a russian asset and has been since at least 2014. There is no other explanation for US policy to turn pro-Soviet in 2025, the most astonishing volte face since Molotov-Ribbentrop.
