Was at an event at Yale tonight, and had to peek at my phone at one point to be sure that Artemis made it home safely.

They stole our hearts.

Plus—it’s so joyous to be proud of something.

It’s also wonderful to celebrate scientific achievement again.

When we put our minds to it and are willing to work for it we do extraordinary things. We need to break up with a lot of the current narratives and we need our leaders to tell us the unifying story of a nation working together to achieve our promise and ideals.

Truth! What a tonic to see people working together to build something and make history instead of destroying accomplishments and trying to re-write history.

A friend joked my Artemis obsession amounted to Competence Porn.
No lies detected. We’re all starved for it.

Amen! I sat here and watched for over two hours, until NASA ended their broadcast. I was really proud to hear Specialist Christina Koch doing the communication. She was quite reassuring and calm. It was a beautiful operation from start to finish!

I was driving and listening to the live commentary. When I heard the comms had been restored and that they were okay, I cried. Very dangerous when behind the wheel. So grateful and proud.

I was terrified, and now I am just happy to see that something in the country was competent. #2026

Plus, it was so great to see so much competence in action at every level -- and teamwork too.

Never paid much attention to NASA until I started following the posts of these fine people. They stole my heart as well. They accomplished the unbelievable and showed us beautiful views of earth and of the human spirit.
