That Peaberry is 20% Kona and 80%...Papua New Guinea I think? Tastes almost...*almost* like 100% Kona Peaberry, but at only 60% of the price. :)

OTOH I can refer you to a cooperative roaster in Austin that works setting up coops in Central & South America. Some lovely beans. :)

Both fine, FINE examples of dark roast...not TOO dark, just a bit of oil showing on the beans. The Pacific peaberry is actually sweet if you nail the extraction, like hot chocolate with honey. The Brazilian is less sweet, rich, complex. No bad choices.
