Proudly representing North Carolina's 4th Congressional District.

While Fuquay-Varina experiences continued population growth, we need to meet the moment with proper road, sidewalk, and transit improvements to support local residents.

It was great meeting with Fuquay-Varina Mayor Bill Harris to talk about local issues including how we can continue bringing jobs and federal funding for infrastructure to the town.

The @aclu.org has long sounded the alarm about how Trump’s NSPM-7 Memorandum targets activists and nonprofits.

The establishment of a Mission Center takes this even further. This must be rejected by Congress.

The federal government has a role to play in keeping communities safe from acts of terror. But Trump’s NPSM-7 memo groups whoever the Administration says engage in “extremism on migration, race, and gender”, with real terror threats.

I have deep concerns about the revelation of a recently created “NSPM-7 Joint Mission Center” in the FBI’s FY27 budget request to Congress.

Programs like the TRIO are critical to expanding access to higher education for first-generation, low-income students, and students with disabilities. I’m deeply appreciative of their efforts and am proud to celebrate the successes of these outstanding graduates.

This morning, @foushee.house.gov hee and I announced $2 million for the GoTriangle Triangle Mobility Hub, which will connect transportation across the region.

This means easier access to work, less congestion on our roads, and more ways to travel across the area.

This hub will link our buses, passenger rail, future bus rapid transit, and other modes of travel across the Triangle.

This is a major step for transit accessibility in our region, and we’ll keep fighting to keep our communities connected.

It was great to highlight the $2 million in federal funding @ross.house.gov and I were able to secure for Go Triangle’s Mobility Hub through the Community Project Funding process.

Data centers are necessary for supporting modern infrastructure like new hospitals, but we need immediate safeguards to protect our communities.

This is a step in the right direction but we must continue taking action to prevent the negative impacts of data centers.

Data centers can increase pollution, raise utility costs, and burden entire electrical grids.

I am proud to be an original cosponsor of the Power for the People Act to hold data centers accountable for their own electrical costs and establish incentives to reduce their impact on the power grid.

The war in Lebanon has displaced nearly 1 million people and has claimed the lives of thousands.

Our federal government must hold itself to higher humanitarian standards than participating in a war that is putting innocent people at risk.

While we’ve been watching astronauts on Artemis II go further than any human has gone before, Trump is asking Congress to make steep cuts to NASA.

I will not be congratulating Trump on reaching a hazy two-week ceasefire for a conflict which he instigated.

The 25th Amendment must still be invoked, and Congress must still proceed with impeachment and a War Powers Resolution.

I am grateful to see the United Nations taking steps to reunite families affected by this conflict.

The United States cannot continue to affirm the continued actions of Netanyahu’s government that has led to this—we must stop arms sales to Israel immediately.

Let’s be clear where I stand.

1. No war with Iran—period.
2. Trump needs to be impeached.
3. His cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment.
4. Congress needs to pass a War Powers Resolution.

Trump is unfit for office. Congress must reconvene to take action.
