LoL. Of course the case they cited isn't about this. The case they cited was primarily about whether the person allegedly defamed was a "public official"

I also get a bit of side-eye when the case cite is older. Yes, I know - sometimes you want to cite to the OG - but I like to cite to a current case - because it shows it is still good law.

Why? Maybe Stalwell's attorney didn't yet know who the person's attorney is. We (lawyers) understand that non-attorneys will provide a cease & desist letter, or other legal letter, to their attorney. We don't expect a layperson to know the body of law behind our citations.
