Setting aside 1975, in 1968, while her queer husband was making a studio film in Hollywood, Agnès Varda drove up to Oakland to make a documentary filmed mostly by herself about the Black Panthers. This is from her interview with Kathleen Cleaver. It’ll be showing @filmforumnyc.bsky.social March 21.
