But I can understand how disability can make things difficult to run. Iā€™m not trying to moral grandstand, but I certainly donā€™t want to whisper about it shadily either.

When I joined, conditions made it difficult for leadership to work on things, but it was the dichotomy that bugged me.

Iā€™m ranting a little bit because I joined because I wanted to help people but not at the expense of my identity. I didnā€™t like how I was treated. So I left. I didnā€™t bash anyone. I silently left, distanced myself.

I only say something now because Iā€™m uncomfortable about what this or means now

I donā€™t wanna vague post or put anyone on blast but people have been DMing me about Disabled Gamerā€™s event at MCLV.

I quit because I did basically all the work and didnā€™t get to make choices on how we run the org. I didnā€™t want ā€œleadershipā€ to ignore me and get credit for my work.

The reason comments like Jerryā€™s are so galling is that they make no attempt to understand or take into account the massive barriers to women proving theyā€™ve been assaulted or the backlash that they get for coming forward against literally any man, much less a famous one.
