I feel like if I started out not blind and my vision deteriorated throughout my life it might be easier to say "oh yeah, I see really bad, I am blind." But this is my only lived reality so it feels normal so when I compare myself to someone who doesn't see anything I often feel like a fake. Dunno.

There is a weird kind of imposter syndrome that comes from being legally blind since birth but being on the lower end of the blindness scale. I see so much worse than sighted people, but I feel like calling myself blind isn't fair to people who have less vision than me. Which isn't true but still.

Cross Country rail travel is such a weird ecosystem in the western United States because I honestly have no idea if there is a way to make it viable now as something other than an expensive novelty, which will always be a shame because it's a very rewarding and relaxing experience.
