To sum this up, you couldn’t pay me to daily drive an ICE car again. Even if it was a luxury model and with free gas. BEVs are just so much better; you will realize that when you open your mind and give them a chance. It’s why the world, outside the USA, is rapidly switching to them.

Yes, I understand you might have a different road tripping style, that’s fine, but I feel like BEV road tripping can fit your style as well (assuming you are being reasonable!).

Even when taking road trips, it goes as far as I would ever drive in one instance, and by the time I use the restroom and stretch my legs, it is already done charging. It is usually done before I am ready.

It comfortably lasts me multiple days on a charge, and I just plug into my house to bring it back up to 80% to start the cycle again.

All I am trying to say is give BEVs a shot. Yes, charging is different than getting gas. That’s not a bad thing, though. Use that to your advantage! I never think about having to “fuel up” my Ioniq 6.

The first thing I did today when I picked up my Ioniq 6 is take it on a long drive to some twisty back roads for some fun. The sense of the car being totally grounded and able to use instant power out of corners is so fun!

With an EV, it is happy to give you whatever amount of power at any time, all without yelling and jerking you! If you are a gear head, that’s fine, I will just never understand why you like that.

Case in point, I had a Nissan Leaf that only had 107HP but was so much nicer to drive. ICE cars to me feel like they don’t want to move. They act like you are inconveniencing them anytime you press the accelerator.

Even ignoring the fact that BEVs are so much better for the environment, they are just better at being cars… period! Yes, I know the Tucson I had only 187HP, but it’s not strictly a power thing. It’s how and when that power is available.

Over the last 4 weeks, I have been driving a Hyundai Tucson since they don’t offer loaner EVs. I did convince them to give me free gas through. I don’t honestly understand how people deal with driving ICE cars!

Back on Dec 22nd, my ICCU blew on my Ioniq 6. I finally got my car back today, Jan 19th. I think it partially took so long because it blew during the holidays. I am so happy to have it back!

Yessss! We need to keep Manhattan congestion pricing! IMO we should go further and only allow taxis, local deliveries, residence to drive on Manhattan! To go even further only allow electric taxis and delivery vans!

I really don’t care what you pick in terms of moving about your day to day, EV, transit (with deference to electric heavily), cycling/e-bike, walking - so long as you do everything in your power not to burn fossil fuel, vehicle, home, energy generation.

AQ/GHG reduction is paramount.
