People will be closely studying how Hungary's opposition pulled off their win in such a pro-incumbent system. Important to note that the theme was corruption. Democrats need to get much better at calling out Trump's corruption.

Thankyou Hungary. You didn't listen to Vance, Trump, Putin or Netanyahu, which is the first step on the road to decency and sanity. This is an important win for Europe as well.

Spain PM Pedro Sánchez: "We cannot depend on the electoral cycles of the U.S. to know whether we will be protected or not — that is why the creation of a common European army must become a reality. Not in 10 years, not in 2 years, but tomorrow”

Whatever tactical military success the US and Israeli militaries had during this latest war, from a strategic perspective this was more of a “capital D defeat” than a “capital V victory.” open.substack.com/pub/maxboot/p/what-did-operation-epic-fury-actually?r=9qb1s&utm_medium=ios

"Trump appears in recent conversations with advisers to have conceded the Strait of Hormuz, a hub of global commerce that remains effectively shut, is unlikely to completely reopen soon.”

The World’s Stupidest Leader has screwed it up epically.

Those US-Iran negotiations in a nutshell:

Iran sent 4 PhDs to Islamabad.

The US sent a real estate developer, a son-in-law, a lawyer and a general.

I wanna point out something serious. The admin has been complaining about Iran winning the information war.

This same administration shut down Voice of America, and other information operations the US govt does.

It’s a self goal. Actions have consequences

If you do not want Reform in power, even if you do not support the other parties, vote tactically in the May elections. It is the only way to stop them. There are more of us than them. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🫖☕️

LEAVITT: We expect that the strait will be opened immediately

Q: Who controls the strait right now?

We can never unsee the genocidal monster Trump revealed yesterday. Even worse, we are likely to see more of him going forward. My latest.

Uruguay generates nearly 43% of its electricity from wind and solar. In 2010, the share was less than 1%.

Most of the rest if hydro.

Today, Uruguay produces nearly 99% of its electricity from renewable sources.

Just wanted to remind folks, especially the GOP and the FDD, that Barack Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal didn’t give Iran control of the Strait of Hormuz or allow it to keep 60% enriched uranium. It sent $1.7 billion to Iran versus the tens of billions Iran will now make from tolls. 🤷🏽‍♂️

That cost will be passed on to us. The profits from higher costs will go into the pockets of billionaires and wealth interests. At what point do we get tired of this?

"A total and complete victory"

- Confirmed the US President is insane
- Left Iran with its regime intact and stronger
- It still has nuclear enrichment, ballistic capability
- Control over the Straits
- China influence growing
- NATO split. Perhaps fatally
- US decline confirmed and accelerated

I can't interact with this post, but this attitude is why I wrote my piece. This is letting them off. "I expect nothing of them, so I'm moving on." I don't do that. I wanted to lay out very clearly that they do have power, and that they have a responsibility to act. www.lawdork.com/p/donald-trump-must-be-removed-twenty-five

"Bloomberg examined Trump’s record of following through on threats to attack other countries and non-state actors.

"Looking at his first term, he made good on threats roughly 20% of the time.

"In his second term to date, that rate has risen to 50%."

I really want us to move away from the 'stupid Americans bumbling around Europe' trope, but JD Vance and Donald Trump embody it too well.
