Advocating for a better tomorrow, one street at a time

What would it take for @chicagocta.bsky.social to install these at every station?

CTA Slow zones inch down on some lines, worsen on others. We should be pressuring them to get this to below 5% on every line

Argyle is already a shared street -- why not go one step further and get rid of the cars altogether?

Looking for good contenders on the west, southwest, and south sides. My goal is to envision one commercial/pedestrian plaza for each neighborhood

Lincoln Sq - Lincoln
Andersonville - Clark from Berwyn to Foster
Uptown - Argyle from Winthrop to Sheridan
Let me know if you disagree

What are some 1-2 block segments of streets that should be pedestrianized in Chicago?

@chicagocta.bsky.social Western BRT can be the shining light of the Bus Priority Corridor Study! Make it happen

Chicago Bikers, what is preferred? Single direction on each side, or 2 way bike lane on one side?

Personally I think 2 way makes more sense, as it lowers costs (only 1 length of barrier) and allows emergency vehicles / plows to use if needed

@chicagocta.bsky.social have you ever considered adding toe-boards to the platforms? Seems like a major hazard of things getting kicked off onto a pedestrian or car below

We 'hydro-vac' to break soil/rock up and vacuum it up to dig holes sometimes and I think that's cool

Safety is an important discussion that isn’t being addressed by @chicagocta.bsky.social . Soon NITA rolls out the transit ambassador program without a clear direction, meaning there's opportunity to shift the narrative and status quo around this issue substack.com/home/post/p-189943936
