Sifting through the insanity here though, i do feel like less people have been in contact with rust as of late, so even those who aren't vaccinated could probably live out their lives without that ever being brought up

Rust doesn't cause tetanus. It's caused by a bacteria often found in soil.

Sourcing from McGill in Canada, for actually reliable medical info.

You know what, if you want to fuck around with tetanus go ahead and walk on some rusty nails without the shot. At least that ones not contagious and Darwin will come for you

Remember folks, the same people who think vaccines aren't needed because they work also push for worker and consumer safety regulations to be repealed..because they work so well that they don't seem to be obviously needed.

About 50000 deaths including over 10k newborns because it's a common infection of the umbilical stump in areas without access to good sanitation

They spawn from the aether annually, bugs spawn from miasma.

At least this is one that isn't contagious! So if they don't vax up, get it, and die, it's only them -- they won't be taking anyone else with them.

People see the results of successful vaccines and conclude vaccines aren't needed...

About 30 cases a year in the US... due to high vaccination rates. Used to be way higher.

I love this "logic" though: "Why do we spend so much on firewalls and anti-virus and backups and security training? We're never hacked!"

I'll never forget RBG's umbrella:

"Throwing out preclearance when it has worked and is continuing to work to stop discriminatory changes is like throwing away your umbrella in a rainstorm because you are not getting wet".

Imagine believing that tetanus is fake, but what's real is that heart disease only began with the invention of Crisco

I mean, there is evidence that heart attacks have become a more common cause of death since the early 20th Century, but much of that is that there was higher mortality from other causes before people got to the age when heart attacks become common. Some is due to diet and lifestyle changes, though.

Vaccines nearly eliminate a disease then people don’t know why they need the vaccine.

FYI:

After the introduction of tetanus vaccination in the mid-1940s, the incidence of reported tetanus in the United States declined by >98% to 0.01 per 100,000 population by 2016.

This is why travel is essential. Or at least curiosity w/o agendas.
Listened to the John Greene 'Everything is Tuberculosis' book. Wildly infuriating and sad there are places still wracked by it. Dufus here I'm sure thinks TB is a scam. No doubt Elon wrecked any treatment aid there was.

That’s a really bad disease to play the “does it even exist anymore?” game, because it’s supposed to be excruciating.

Tetanus still has a death rate, forget "diagnosis".
Funnily enough, people with a family member who has died from it all tend to be vaccinated 🤷

All that needed was 'anymore'. We have all but eradicated it in Western countries thanks to vaccines, just like we had eradicated measles and polio.

I have often wondered about cases of listeria when pregnant women are warned of the risks, but I've never known of anyone getting it.

Is it still circulating? Called something else? Eradicated my food hygiene? Big problem in some areas but I've just not come across? I've seen outbreaks of ebola, cholera, norovirus and salmonella in the news, but never listeria!
