If you look at the detail in the article, it's not necessarily that people are fighting them, they're just collapsing under the weight of their own incompetence and mis-placed self-belief
I can't remember which issue it was, but in his podcast, Ed Zitron was basically talking about how there's a lot of talks about data centers going on, but not enough actual building. And a part of whatever is being built, it's often "one steel beam in the ground".
