Everquest was big on non damage abilities, classes that did crafting, or allowed for fast travel, food creation, just interact with the world in a variety of ways. Runescape is mostly non combat classes. Ragnarok Online had the merchant class. Mabinogi has all kinds of non combat or pure support.

Ragnarok Online as an example has the Merchant class where you had a few DPS abilities, but a majority of your skills were focused on discounting items bought from NPCs, upcharging items you sell to NPCs, opening up a little store for players to browse and buy from.

Star wars galaxies had a politician class that could build and maintain player made structures, because that was a thing you could just do out in the open world. Entire player-made and run cities existed in that game and I find that so cool
