Some Druaga 'fun facts'

It was only intended as a rom swap for 2000 Mappy PCBs that were no longer earning as much. It wasn't expected to be a hit & was only going to be available in Namco's own locations. Endo was allowed to do w/e tf he wanted so long as it was cheap & ready in 6 months

i kno there’s talk abt game composers who work for cheap or free and that’s reasonable especially if you’re starting out or just really need to do what u gotta do to make ends meet. but if as a developer, ai music seems enticing to you, your game and your vision feels genuinely worthless

the real framing here is: build community with artists of all walks. not because you want free or cheap labor, just cause u wanna make something cool and be surrounded by cool ppl who can guide you, even if they aren’t directly contributing. maybe you even learn to do some music on your own

there is simply no justification in my mind for shortcuts that eliminate an entire sector of your creative process. at that point you simply cannot afford to make a game. because you’re making 2/3 of a game

For those that might not know, the 'modern style but in red' Sega logo is that of Sega Electronics, who were originally Gremlin, who Sega already owned but they became Sega Electronics briefly in the early '80s before merging into normal Sega in 1984
