I understand the sentiment but I think it's a mistake. Having those things as things POTUS can do at his discretion is bad. Establish that they are *crimes*, and put people in prison for them.

What does "the law" even mean anymore? Conservatives have destroyed that notion. They do whatever the fuck they want.

We can hold the fascists accountable. We have that right, to bring justice to the tyrants.

We can pass a law to make it legal, if you'd like.

The fascists have not yet destroyed the law. Please do not concede it to to them. Demand that they follow it.

The law is not magical but it does hold power and we would be fools to give it up.

Hold them accountable, fully, /under the law/. It is not merely our right but our duty.
