President Joe Biden dropped his opposition to Ukraine firing US missiles at targets deep inside Russia in response to North Korea's entry to the war, a shift in US policy that took on added urgency following Donald Trump's Nov. 5 election win, sources familiar with the matter said reut.rs/3V1Mgac

The same Pam Bondi who dropped a Trump University investigation after she received a $25,000 donation from Trump in 2013?

This is a big deal: The National Counterintelligence and Security Center, FBI, and four other US agencies are jointly warning US defense companies to bolster security precautions in anticipation of possible Russian sabotage.

Not an alarm to hit snooze on.

Pete Hegseth has published three books in four years. Jonathan Chait spent the last week reading them—and concluded that Hegseth is almost certainly the most dangerous of Trump's cabinet picks. theatln.tc/s24Z8tF4

It’s incredible that Gaetz was (rightly) forced away from a position as AG because of sexual abuse allegations yet we have a PRESIDENT who was found guilty by a jury of sexual abuse and it doesn’t seem to be any sort of a problem.

Remember this. We are weaker now. “Trump has groomed us.” Try to hold and speak and advocate what you know is right and true. We’ve already moved so far. Don’t change your standards to accommodate their shameless incompetence & cruelty.

“The crowd might be thought of as the ‘people’—a concept that might merit approval, as in ‘We, the People,’ or abhorrence, as when the Nazis promoted the purity of the Volk, whose blood was being poisoned by outsiders.”

Another reason things are so much better here than Twitter.

There is absolutely no basis in American law for Trump’s brazen attempt to use his past or future presidencies as devices to launder and erase the jury verdict convicting him of the 34 New York felonies he committed to interfere with the 2016 presidential election and to cover up that interference.

At the risk of reading too much into Bluesky’s success at the moment, I do think it’s a signal that people don’t want to be surrounded by bots and manipulated algorithms

AI can only go so far. We want human connection.

In this “new natalist moment,” the top lawyers of 3 states feel free to call openly on the federal courts to make women have more babies! They have chosen Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk (N.D. Tex), one of the most openly anti-abortion judges on the bench. Watch this space.
