People did *not* like them using the poppy in marketing, but they say no publicity is bad publicity.

The poppy, said to grow on soldiers' graves in WWI, is a symbol for US veterans' issues. Last 105yrs, "Buddy Poppies" are crafted as mementos for fundraising & awareness.
