There are some really handy programs which can turn your computer screen into simulated monochrome, red-green colourblindness etc.

I use Sim Daltonism myself, makes my graphs much clearer for everyone. Stuff which works in any colour or lack of colour usually works the best in general too.

Some new ideas there! I definitely need to look through stuff like this again, last time I sat down for an afternoon figuring out colour maps, my wasp graphs got twice as clear.

Was a rainbow palette: bit unclear for everyone, unreadable in monochrome.
Became at least reasonably good for everyone.
