I can't tell you how many books we've basically panned because they're just character creation bolted to some no-entry-point grade inscrutable world building. No bestiary, no adventurers welcome sign, no road map of any kind, just an untouchable metaplot and some dice math.

If instead of "You aren't a game designer if you don't design a bunch of adventures" it was "A good game should include use cases for why characters do what they do and examples of play loops" that'd be fuckin' great.

It's funny, but like there's a kernel of useful advice in that shit discourse thing, it's just presented as needless vitriol and ivory tower fartsniffery because that's what gets the eyes.
