12.7 M acres is dam huge footprint to basically remove from the biosphere for solar. That's bigger than the state of West Virginia!
What about all the industrial resources that would be consumed with such a project? They all have their own footprint's as well.

West Virginia is about 15.4M acres and is indeed the land comparison used in the Net Zero report for amount required.

Life cycle emissions of Solar PV are currently 40g/kWh and falling. Gas is about 450 and coal 900. A 91% or 95% reduction isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better.

You seem kind of OK with such an inordinately large footprint. And you cant quantify its footprint simply in terms of carbon emmisions.
