West Virginia is about 15.4M acres and is indeed the land comparison used in the Net Zero report for amount required.

Life cycle emissions of Solar PV are currently 40g/kWh and falling. Gas is about 450 and coal 900. A 91% or 95% reduction isn't perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better.

You seem kind of OK with such an inordinately large footprint. And you cant quantify its footprint simply in terms of carbon emmisions.

Land occupation is just slightly higher than gas and as discussed, way lower than biofuels. Plus the dual use potential with agrivoltaics.

What other footprints would you like to discuss- mining, air pollution, water use, even waste heat production all go down versus status quo.
