Just wanted to remind folks, especially the GOP and the FDD, that Barack Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal didn’t give Iran control of the Strait of Hormuz or allow it to keep 60% enriched uranium. It sent $1.7 billion to Iran versus the tens of billions Iran will now make from tolls. 🤷🏽‍♂️

OF COURSE Hungary offered to help Iran. They are deeply tied into the Russian ecosystem. The best way to think of Hungary is as a Russian proxy providing Russia a footprint into NATO and the EU. But Hungary is also deeply important to far-right ethnonationalists like Vance and Netanyahu.

An added wrinkle to this pattern of mass disassociation is that the President is permanently disassociated...he can say "Mamdani is a terrorist who must deported" one day and then the next day have a chummy photo op with him in the White House. His words & his actions are totally unlinked.
