Could you make some sort of diving bell area? Go in bell, cue fancy animation, boom "underwater" segment. :P

Theoretically yes, but I couldn't get the blue overlay in the fake underwater.

Would a weather overlay work instead? Maybe a fog or a desert "It's too hot here, so it's wavy to signify that." heat wave?
