big time. we've seen repeatedly the size of the protest doesn't matter, they'll shrug off record breakers and even international level protest. campuses just get them busting out the cops. but even if you bust out the cops on the airport, you will still probably miss your flight

like god it's so stupid, i hate how well it fits. the pressure point is *time*. they *have* to respond quickly to the demand, because if they don't, their flight is, at best, delayed. and they cannot abide a fucking minute of vacation missed.

jam up the airports, jam up the roads around congress when they're leaving, pincer strike protest. every fucking minute stuck in traffic, stuck in the lobby, is them drawing closer to a meltdown

was talking about stuff adjacent to this the other day and backed myself into an epiphany: you can have six figure showings for public protests and itโ€™s held in the same regard by legislators as a slightly negative Gallup poll

i think a lot about the conditions and contexts within protests and why what worked in the past might not work now. there's a lot of reasons 'significantly larger than the march preceding I Have A Dream' protests ain't budged shit, regardless of what the issue is, and one is media environment.
